Is there any way to send a link to a file in a shared briefcase

When my users send a link for a file from a shared briefcase, it includes the user account in the form of https://domain.com/user@domain/briefcase/file.ext

This link won't work for the user the link is sent to, but provided they have the shared briefcase named the same, they can change the user@domain to their user and it works.

This is a little difficult to explain to the users and makes it appear broken.

Is there anything I can setup which will make the links work, short of opening the briefcase to anyone?
