Default Accessing Contact 'notes' field using Mobile

Is there a way in the Addressbook Contacts to view the 'Notes' or 'Birthday'' fields when accessing via a mobile phone? If not, I am going to request that it be added. I have some sales people that would like to use Zimbra in place of stand alone CRM software so they can utilize the mail system that everyone else does and not have to support their own server and email system which basically does very little more than Zimbra itself, just doesn't expose the necessary fields in the mobile client.

Surely that would depend on the mail client? I can see the Notes field using an Android with Nitrodesk Touchdown as the client, the field can be modified from the client or server and get instant updates in the Contacts of both.

I assume you're talking about Zimbra NE here so please update your forum profile with the output of the following command (do not post the output in this thread) so we don't have to keep asking which version you have:

Code:
zmcontrol -v
You haven't really given much information about how the users are connecting to Zimbra nor which mail clients or phones they're using.

Actually I am testing against the online demo at the moment using an iPhone and the web client.
Would be nice if the notes field was below the home, along with other defined fields.

Client Version: 6.0.4_GA_2038.UBUNTU8_64. Same here. Even when you edit the contact you see all the empty fields, except for Notes.

You should upgrade to the latest release of Zimbra.

Looks the same to me in 6.0.8

Release 6.0.8_GA_2661.RHEL5_20100820021155 CentOS5 NETWORK edition.

I have many many servers, virtual and actual. The box I am testing here is a VM
that I created and installed per your suggestion to 'upgrade to the latest version'.
As far as I can tell there is no difference from earlier versions. 'Notes' does not
display on the mobile interface, doesn't matter if you use the browser in iPhone,
Blackberry, or a desktop navigated to "http://your.server.com/zimbra/m", or if you use
any of the different mobile themes.

Default zmcontrol -v

Bill,

For those of us noobs that supervise the guys that have access to zmcontrol -v, you might suggest the $get command or going to the Admin interface. And in deference to those of us who can't afford to direct our IT guys to upgrade every month, or every other, patience please.
