Default [SOLVED] Updating process when extending schema on ZimbraLDAP

Hi,

I am running ZCS network edition 5.0.16 with ZimbraLDAP(master & replica).

Now I'd like to extend ldap schema and I assume I need to update
schema configurations on both master and replica servers.

I'm not sure if I must update ldap master first, or replica first.
Is there any rule for order of update?

In the following wiki, when upgrading ldap server , "replica first" is recommended.
"If you have LDAP replica servers configured for ZCS, when you upgrade from 4.5.x to 5.0, you must modify each LDAP replica server before you upgrade the LDAP master server."

I found an article related to this topic in openldap ML, and I'd like to clarify
my question.

In the following procedure, I'd like to make sure which server should be
restarted first on Step 3.

You could proceed that way also:
1. Add custom.schema in /etc/openldap/schema on master and slave LDAPs

2. Include custom.schema file in /etc/openldap/slapd.conf on master and slave LDAPs

3. Stop and restart slapd on master and slave LDAPs (one at a time)

4. Modify master LDAP to utilize new attributes

5. Watch for replication

Of course you need to make sure that the syntax for new schema is correct in a test environment.

Zimbra Support says:
Yes you need to add the customizations to replica and then to the master
