It would help if you gave a better description than 'it doesn't work', what exactly doesn't it do? What exactly are the settings in your preferences for OOO? What exactly do you see in the log files for this? What are the exact steps to reproduce the problem?

Doesn't work... when we send mail from outside to the account who had configured the out-of-office no mails are back with the message. We configured the date from yesterday to 09/11/2010.

What do you mean with "preferences for OOO" there are only checkbox to activate the message field and checkbox to activate start date and end date, what else ?

Sam.

Can you check your mailbox.log file (/opt/zimbra/mailbox.log) file for more info on this? Specificially look for messages like "outofoffice not sent" (with the reason for it after).

In fact the first mail is sent but with an empty From: field (From<>) and the antispam on our mail-relay mark it as spam and don't deliver the mail with the message:

Message D3ADACBFD8.AF2BA from 88.190.221.41 has no (or invalid) watermark or sender address.

Then the other mail are marked:

[name=przyswa@geismar.com;mid=287;ip=88.190.221.42;] mailbox - outofoffice not sent (already sent) mid=891 rcpt='przyswa@geismar.com' dest='przyswa.sam@free.fr

How to fix the empty From: field in OOO reply ?

Sam.

In fact only the autoreply configured from the Admin Console is working, the OOO configured by the user in the "Preferences" with the Start and the End date doesn't work.

If I only set the user OOO I haven't outofoffice tag in mailbox.log file for this mail.

Is it a way to activate/desactivate the Out Of Office feature ?

At this time this feature doesn't work on my Zimbra 6.0.7 version.

Thanks for your help.

Sam.

In order to avoid spam/mailbombing and other bad things, the Out of Office feature doesn't send back a mail for each email received from the same sender.

If I send you a mail today and your OOO is on, I'll get a OOO mail from your account.
If I send you another mail in 2 hours or tomorrow, I won't get the OOO mail...

I think you should stop your anti-spam filter from blocking messages with an empty return path as spam. That's just how they work (I could be wrong, but I think there is an RFC regarding this).

I tried from different senders and never received the OOO

Ok but I should get in mailblox.log and outofoffice tag with "not sent" and how long time the OOO mail will be suspended and is it configurable ?
