Exclamation [SOLVED] Unix Workstation LDAP Authorization Issues

Hello,

I am trying to implement Linux workstation authorization with the ldap server built into Zimbra following this guide: UNIX and Windows Accounts in Zimbra LDAP and Zimbra Admin UI 6.0 - Zimbra :: Wiki

The guide went through perfectly fine but I can't actually get the authorization to work on the user workstation, it constantly fails to verify the password. More investigation with Wireshark revealed that it was failing to bind properly giving the "invalidCredentials" error. I have tried using a standalone LDAP server to authorize users and it worked fine. I have double checked all my ACL parameters to see that the server has proper permissions and everything looks in check. I am at a loss at what is causing this.

No help at all? The article is a certified article by Zimbra, I would have expected there to be more support for it?

Still stuck on this issue, I cannot get any anonymous binding to work for authorizing passwords.

Turned out to be a glitch in the pam files apparently, I rebuilt pam from scratch and voila. it works. Who knows?
