Exclamation [SOLVED] zimbra_inboxzero zimlet not working

Hi,

Thank you to zimbra and the developers for this zimlet "Inbox Zero". Now to the issue.

Downloaded the zimlet from gallery. I just managed to start the zimlet and get it working for a few minutes, but with some of the options broken. The Defer option was working fine but not "Archive" and "Task". So I undeployed and then deployed again ... and since then I've not been able to see the zimlet in my panel above mails.

undeployed with $ zmzimletctl undeploy zimbra_inboxzero
flushed cache $ zmprov flushCache zimlet
deployed with $ zmzimletctl deploy zimbra_inboxzero.zip in /opt/zimbra/zimlets-extra directory

I can see zimbra_inboxzero in my defaults COS. mailbox log says the zimlet has been installed without errors and enabled. But now I just can't see it in my panel. Is there any thing i am missing? any thing besides these to get zimlets running? In between i have other zimlets working fine like gtranslator.

Please get back to me.

Lightbulb Got it running .. but

I got it deployed and running. But still haven't figured out the "Create Task" button on panel above mails. Shouldn't it be working for each mail? It works for the first time to create Archive and Deferred folders. It doesn't respond later for each mails. Could be a bug.

Meanwhile the Delete button and Delegate and respond works fine, I am able to mark mails and move to archive or deferred folder. But no response from "Create Task" button. I can create a new task by marking the mail, right clicking and selecting create task option. It should be responding with the button too.

Any thoughts? Thank you.

Default Archive and Create Task not working

I can't get the Archive or Create Task feature to work.
I've undeployed and deployed it thinking that might "kick" it but it didn't help any. Sounds like a bug.
Running 6.0.7 Network Edition here.

Anybody have any ideas?

Thumbs up Thanks for writing

cfritzius,

Thank you for writing. I really think this could be a bug, but can't afford to loose it. It is a wonderful feature. Hope we would be able to keep this post alive and get it running. I am sure Andy(andyc) would be able to help us, the developer I believe. Waiting for a word from him, or perhaps someone else.

Please let me know what version of ZCS you have deployed. From the search field in the client, type "$set:get version" and post the results here.

Is the version you list, "Release 6.0.7_GA_2473.RHEL4_20100616201531 RHEL4 NETWORK edition", up to date? Also, what other zimlets do you have enabled on your account?

Is anyone else having problems using Inbox Zero for Zimbra?

Arrow Hi Andy

andyc,

Thank you for responding to the call. I am using the latest ZCS 6.0.7 and the details are correct. "Release 6.0.7_GA_2473.RHEL4_20100616201531 RHEL4 NETWORK edition" is what is from zmcontrol -v.

I have other zimlets working well like gtranslator, wiki and task reminder. I found this issue with zimbra_inboxzero on one of my test servers too, with the same results. So I guess the problem is valid. Please let me know if you need more details or if i am missing something.

This is the result from $set:get version from my ajax client
Client Version: 6.0.7_GA_2473.RHEL5_64
Client Release: 20100616202447
Build Date: 20100616-2037

Could the mismatch in both the version cause this trouble?

Default My versions

It's working for me on the following versions:

Ajax client:
Client Version: 6.0.8_GA_2661
Client Release: 20100820050930
Build Date: 20100820-0516
Zimbra Desktop:
Version: 2.0 (build 10514)
Granted, I'm a bit on the bleeding edge being inside the company but nothing should be significantly different between our 6.x versions to cause these issues. I have taken a few liberties within the zimlet code to automate some of its functionality, though. Perhaps those "hacks" are not behaving properly on your system.

Do you see any JavaScript errors in your browser? Also, any chance you can give me a test Zimbra account on your system? That should help me track this down and will be a lot easier than trying to install the exact version and trying to recreate it on my end. If this is possible, please send me email -- do NOT post to the forums.

Lightbulb Javascript errors

Andy,

Thank you for writing back. I think we are getting close. Javascript errors never came to my mind. I am using firefox and while using the zimlet i noticed a javascript error only when I used "Create Task" button. I got this from the error console of firefox.

---------------
Error: t is undefined
Source File: http://mail.domain.com/service/zimle...=en&country=GB
Line: 12191
---------------

I tried it with Google chrome, to get this
---------------
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'getByName' of undefined
/service/zimlet/res/Zimlets-nodev_all.js.zgz?language=en&country=GB:12191
---------------

And with IE 8
-------------------
Message: 'undefined' is null or not an object
Line: 12191
Char: 1
Code: 0
URI: https://mail.domain.com/service/ziml...=en&country=GB
--------------------

Are we in a similar situation as this this bug?
Bug 49969 – "t is undefined" error when switching to compose message

Thank you!
