Default Should zmplayredo hang when processing a redolog that is already applied?

The version of Zimbra this post references is zcs-NETWORK-6.0.7_GA_2473.UBUNTU8_64.20100616200923.

I'm working on setting up a replicated redolog server. During one of my tests I ran zmplayredo -logfiles <file> on a copy of a file that was already imported. It never gave an error message, it just kept dumping GC data:

Code:
...
Total time for which application threads were stopped: 0.0304190 seconds
Total time for which application threads were stopped: 0.0001080 seconds
Total time for which application threads were stopped: 0.0000820 seconds
...
Shouldn't zmplayredo complain about the log sequence having already been replayed? Nothing was logged in /var/log/zimbra.log, /opt/zimbra/log/zmmailboxd.out, or /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log while the command was running and the system load avg was about 0.05 and I finally killed the command after about 20 minutes.

Is there a way to find out where you are in the current redo sequence?
