Default Move mail folder to different account

Hi -

"User A" has left the company. I would like to sort some of his email messages into a folder and then move that folder into "User B's" account.

I understand if I do this via export/import that message meta data will be duplicated in cases where "User B" was cc'd on messages to "User A". I don't want to do that.

I know that I could leave "User A's" account open and share the folder, but I don't want to do that either, because of account licensing limitations.

Is there a way to accomplish moving mail folders between accounts without duplicating meta data or leaving accounts open and sharing the folders?

Thanks very much for any advice.

What I have done is to share the folder giving Admin rights to the user I'm sharing with. Then get them to drag the mail to a new folder in their own mailbox.
This will remove it from the original mailbox and then just delete the account.

I often log in to their account via the admin pane and do it for them as it's just easier that explaining what needs to be done
