    Default Web admin login hangs with Firefox 3.6.8 (ZCS 5)

    Since sometime late last week, we can't log into our web admin interface with recent versions of Firefox (windows or linux). Clearing browser cache, disabling addons, safe mode, etc. has no effect. The Firefox error console consistently shows this error upon the failure:
    Code:
    Error: ZaApp.getInstance().getCurrentController() is undefined
    Source File: https://localhost:7071/zimbraAdmin/js/Admin_all.js.zgz?v=100629122513
    Line: 10768
    The relevant line of script highlighted by Firefox is:
    Code:
    }catch(H){if(ZaApp.getInstance()){ZaApp.getInstance().getCurrentController()._handleException(H,"ZaDomain.loadMethod",null,false)
    There was no problem last week, and the only thing I can think of that may have changed since then was the Firefox 3.6.8 update, although I thought that we had been able to get in last week even with that version, but can't recall for sure.

    Internet Explorer works fine, and some older Firefoxes we have casually tried around the office (3.0.x) work fine.

    Our ZCS had been 5.0.20, but last night I updated to 5.0.24 in hopes of resolving the issue, but it didn't change anything.

    Any ideas on where to look next would be appreciated. Thanks!

    I'd love to offer a fix for this, but I just dont see it happening. It looks like you've tried most things I'd suggest and it seems like it's specific to the version of Firefox.

    The workaround will be to use a different browser, and the correct fix will be to move to a current Zimbra version, say 6.0.7?

    If I recall, Chrome didnt work well with ZCS5 or I'd suggest that. If you do need to use FF then you may be able to use something like a greasemonkey script to live patch it?

    Thanks, Dirk. Do you think that error message I listed could lead me in any useful direction?

    I have the same problem on 6.07.
    (It might have something to do with my FF-extensions though...)

    You should confirm that by creating a new empty FF profile and see if you have the same problem.

    Hi Phoenix,

    I just did, and can confirm my suspicion. A clean FF opened the web-admin without problems, so it was one of my extensions that caused it. (In case anyone else have the same problem with 6.07 and FF...)

    The usual cause of that problem (in past experience) is 'mouse gestures' add-on, if you have one then try removing it. Other than that I'm afraid it's trying them one by one to see which causes the problem.
