Default remote monitoring through snmp

I cant seem to figure out how to setup zimbra on a customer port for remotely monitoring through snmp polling. The service is running according to zimbra service status report and im not being blocked by the firewall, yet i cant poll it on the default port. Recommendations?

Postfix doesn't expose any information via SNMP, you'd have to write custom scripts for that. Perhaps if you gave a more complete description of what you've actually done and what the exact responses/errors are that you've encountered someone might be able to give you advice.

Phoenix,

Right now i cant get any type of snmp connection, it just fails to connect like its not even running. Right now i am looking for any stats, such as load, cpu/ram/disk/network usage. Basic snmp data. The additional info such as queue, mail volume, etc, would be nice, but not required at this point. All i know is that the server by default has a service running called snmp that shows under 'Monitoring', then 'Server Status' in the zimbra admin. So what is that snmp service used for and how do i access it remotely (aka, what port)?

If you're trying to use the Zimbra SNMP service then I'd suggest you install the net-snmp for your distribution and use that as any changes or modification you make to the Zimbra configuration is not guaranteed to be maintained during an upgrade.
