Default Disaster Recover Restore - missing emails

I have a cold standby server set up exactly the same as the primary and have been trying to test and make sure my disaster recovery procedures will work. What I'm doing is an uninstall, the re-install the same version as production (6.06) and finally run zmrestoreoffline.

I am trying to follow the procedures from:
Network Edition Disaster Recovery - Zimbra :: Wiki
and
Disaster Recovery for Specific Situations

When finished most accounts are restored, however a few of them show no emails in the web GUI when the production GUI does show a lot of mail. In addition, some of the aliases for the accounts are missing.

The only difference between the servers is that zimbra is UID:GID 501:501 on the standby and on production is 500:503.

Has anyone experienced this issue?

Yes. I had exactly the same issue when i tried to move one zimbra server to another one; Just a little more on our server upgrade history: 6.04 -> 6.0.8 -> 7.1. It seemed all the old accounts created in 6.0.4 had zero mails which should not be the case. I had to rsync "/opt/zimbra" whole directory to make the server move.

I got this working with the -rf flag and feeding it the specific full backup.

zmrestoreoffline -sys -a all -c -rf -lb full-20110521.080004.676

Then I do the incrementals to get caught up.

/opt/zimbra/backup/sessions/incr-20110531.080504.809/redologs/redo-20110531.080543.857-seq2963.log

It has been working for me now for a while.

Thanks, msheean. I'll definitely give it a try this week.
