Default Global sig wrapping

I cannot get our global sig to format correctly. I put hard returns into the string with zmprov by hitting CTRL-V and then RETURN at the end of each line. Here is how I add the sig.

zmprov mcf zimbraDomainMandatoryMailSignatureText "================================================= ==================================^MThis communication, together with any attachments hereto or links contained herein, is for the sole use of the intended^Mrecipient(s) and may contain information that is confidential or legally protected.
.
.
.

However, the sig shows up as one long line in the footer of each email. Is there a way to get the sig to format correctly (use the hard returns)?
