GAL across domains with LDAP?

Good Morning,

I have been running Zimbra Open Source edition for a bit over a year now. My company has 15 domains; one for each branch. When a user goes through payroll their email address is entered as USER@Company1.com then there is an alias created for USER@PRIMARYDOMAIN.com. Company1.com being their branch. The users now want to be able to access the GAL for PRIMARYDOMAIN.COM. I saw a few posts on this and they said I needed to do something with LDAP but they weren't very detailed.

Could anyone point me in the right direction?
