Default [SOLVED] error :new zimbra user cant send mail to anyone except admin

hi,

a user id created by one of my colleagues two weeks ago was fine till last week. now she can only receive mail from all users...

when she tries sending mail it only goes through if she sends it to admin... any mail sent to other id's whether - new , forwarded or replied mail's - comes back to her undelivered with the following report "This is the mail system at host cccbl.citizencredit.com.

I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not
be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.

For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster.

If you do so, please include this problem report. You can
delete your own text from the attached returned message.

The mail system

<xtz@cccbl.citizencredit.com>: cccbl.citizencredit.com"

But the perplexing part is it does not show in any of the mail queues at all.... Not sure what to do..

What exactly is the error you're seeing in the log files or the returned message? The error you've shown is generic and tells us nothing about the reason for non-delivery, have you also contacted the admin of the other mail server to see what the problem is?

Question Mail undelivered

Hi,

I've attached a copy of the mailbox log... The name of the problem account has been changed to "problemaccount@abc.xyz" and it's interceptor account is "hiddenproblemaccount@abc.xyz"

I've tried opening another account for the same staff and am having problems replying to test mails sent to this account... Sending fresh mails and forwards work... But replied mails dont go through to the original sender although the mail does not show in the pending/deferred queue at all... THe mail does however show in the intercepted account which is quite strange..

Please help

So, ar you telling me you have two different problems? The description of this bears no relationship to your first description. What do you mean by an 'interceptor account'?

The log you've posted here contains this:

Code:
2010-07-12 11:52:46,954 INFO [btpool0-351] [name=problemaccount@abc.xyz;oip=172.16.10.38;ua=zclient/5.0.16_GA_2921.SuSEES10;] SoapEngine - handler exception
com.zimbra.cs.account.AccountServiceException: must change password
ExceptionId:btpool0-351:1278915766954:544d437dea4c51ae
Code:account.CHANGE_PASSWORD
Have you tried changing the password for this account?

hi,

discovered the real problem for both accounts ... each account has a user id firstname@xyz.com and a canonical id - firstname.lastname@xyz.com.. there now seems to be a disconnect between the id and canonical id....so when a user uses the reply option the mail goes to the canonical id - firstname.lastname@xyz.com and hence doesn't reach the user,... how can this be rectified.??

interceptor accounts are those hidden accounts that are legally allowed for storage of mail copies without the knowledge of the user..

solved by stopping the use of canonical i'ds for all users
