Odd firefox issue under 6.0.7

I have a strange problem in firefox where if I just log in or reload the interface if I click on the "New" button nothing happens and the Firefox error console reports:

Error: Permission denied to access property 'focus' from a non-chrome context

every time I press the button.

If I first select a message, then the new button works as expected.

However it works as expected in IE.

Anyone else seen this?

The two browsers use different temp space. You try clearing the temp files / cookies from the FF installation?

I've cleared cache's, restarted browsers, tried on different machines, it seems that unless I click on something else first, Firefox doesn't like me clicking on New

Ok this is really strange, I've narrowed it down the email attaching zimlet. If I disable that zimlet all is good. For extra strangness, this only happens to users on one mailbox server, but not on the other mailbox server. The zimlet is deployed on both, the same way, the same version, and functions on both servers, but on one it seems to trigger this issue.

I get this same error, having to face the same problems with my 6.0.7. New button doesn't work all the time, like soon after I login.

It works after I move the tabs or keep on trying for a while. Weird.

I need to confirm if this happens only with accounts on one of my mailbox servers. If it should be a conflict with e-mail attacher zimlet shoudn't it give the same result with accounts having the same zimlet on the other mailbox server? which is working fine at the moment.

This happens with firefox 3.6.3, 3.6.6 and 3.6.9 I've tried this after removing webdeveloper and firebug, with no good results.

Yes! it is with just one of the mailbox servers. And surprisingly it looks good after disabling e-mail attacher zimlet the other server works perfectly with this cool zimlet.

hmm .. i know rrao is around, and he can help us with this hehe .. as of now i am a bit puzzled with the chemistry between zimlets and browsers

I really think we should upgrade email attacher zimlet. The latest version is 0.7 which has fix for some bugs. I guess rrao will agree with me The one I am using is

I'm encountering this issue in 6.0.7 under Firefox (Mac and Windows). We do NOT have the email attacher zimlet deployed.

I loaded zimbra in debug/mjsf mode and the error is being triggered in DwtHtmlEditor.js:207

You guys are probably hitting html editor bug: Bug 48947 – unable to compose new message in ZD

Although that is a generic editor bug, apparently, it could also affect Email Attacher Zimlet in some browsers.
As for as Email Attacher Zimlet(& Attach Contacts) goes, the latest 0.7 version has a work-around to not hit 48947
