Default /opt/zimbra/postfix/conf/main.cf mynetworks, changes are not permanent

Hi Forun

When I do (as root and as zimbra) some changes in the file
Quote:
/opt/zimbra/postfix/conf/main.cf
and add My Public IP (pub.lic.Ip.add/32)

Quote:
mynetworks = 127.0.0.0/8 192.168.0.0/24 pub.lic.Ip.add/32
After, I do (only as zimbra user)
zmcontrol stop && zmcontrol start

but when I see after the file the file takes your initial state. do not appear my public IP..
I can't send a mail using a client being out of the network or from the internet using zimbra client or other client.

What Should I do?

Best Regards

the file /opt/zimbra/postfix/conf/main.cf is recreated on each restart of zimbra.

Try changing it through the ADMIN interface.

or
Code:
/opt/zimbra/bin/zmprov modifyserver $ServerName zimbraMtaMyNetworks '127.0.0.0/8 192.168.0.0/24 pub.lic.Ip.add/32'

Do not add your public IP address in the mynetworks setting, it's not necessary and you're setting yourself up for a security problem.

You can relay mails from an external IP address if the clients Authenticate against your Zimbra server and use port 587 (the correct Submission port) to submit mail. There are many threads that cover this in the forums if you search for them.

Hi Forum.
I could do the changes using the web interface in the section MTA.
But finally my problem of RELAY ACCESS DENIED be solved when I change the Public DNS and PTR to my Server Public IP.
Because when I send a mail to an internal account the mail arrieve without problems.

Thank You Very Much.
Best Regards/
