Default [SOLVED] Server Statistics and Mail Reports not working

Hello all,
Ever since updating from 6.0.5 to 6.0.6, and persisting into the 6.0.7.1 update, our OSE server shows all X's when signing into the admin GUI for server status, and the daily mail reports, which used to show a nice summary of the thousands of emails that flow through the server, now says 0 for the mail count. Is this a known issue? I've searched the forum, and I don't see exactly the issue I'm experiencing. I've tried some of the simpler resolutions, to no avail (fixin zimb server permissions, etc.).

Any ideas?

For the stats stopping might take a look at this thread
[SOLVED] service STAT problem

And for the daily mail reports try the following from the command line:
/opt/zimbra/libexec/zmdailyreport -m

Ah, just realized: /var/log/mail.log and /var/log/zimbra.log are zero-byte in length.

Code:
-rw-r----- 1 root admin 0 Jul 3 03:17 mail.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 zimbra zimbra 0 May 26 03:15 zimbra-stats.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 zimbra zimbra 0 Jul 8 03:16 zimbra.log
What would prevent Zimbra from being able to write to those files? (I know mail.log *used* to be written to, but not sure if that should still be the case).

Server was rebooted, and problem solved: log files are now updating. Perhaps there's something in the update process that shut down zimbra logging to both of those log files until a full system restart?
