External GAL - Domino LDAP lookup no groups

Hello,

We have implemented our Zimbra server along side of our Domino server. We configured our external GAL to perform email address lookups in our Domino Directory. When we do the lookups; we have no issues returning user's email addresses.

The problem comes in with the groups in domino. I can not get the autocomplete or GAL test to find any of our groups. Below are the LDAP filters I have tried:

(|(mail=*%s*)(sn=*%s*))
(|(mail=*%s*)(cn=*%s*)(sn=%s*)(gn=%s*))

I feel that I am missing something obvious but I have limited experience with Domino's LDAP.
