zcs-N-5.0.7 to zcs-N-6.0.6 - no Right/Global ACL Tabs in the Administrator Console.

I try to migrate from 5.0.7 network édition to 6.0.6, everything is ok, except that there are no globals acl/right tabs on the admin console after the migration.

It's the same problem on the account tab, I can't create administrator account.

Are there some rights to give to the administrator to obtain theses tabs ?

We saw this on several systems; Administrator accounts (Global and Domain) created under 5.0.x were not migrated correctly with proper rights during the upgrade to 6.0.x.

We found two easy ways to "fix" this however.

First, just create a new Global Admin account under 6.0.x from the commandline. This account will have correct rights and be able to "see" everything in the Admin Console.

Second, (only works if you have a second Global Admin account), log in to the Admin Console as the second Global Admin, and use the checkboxes to grant the first Global Admin account selected rights to the Admin Console views. Save the changes and close editing the account.

Edit the account again, unchecking the Global Admin check box to make the account a regular account. Again, save the changes and close editing the account.

Edit the account one last time by checking the Global Admin check box. Save the changes, exit, log out and now try logging in to the Admin Console with that account.

Essentially, when using the Admin Console to edit pre-existing Admin accounts, we found we needed to set some rights "manually" for Zimbra to clean things up sufficiently when demoting the account to a regular account. Once things were cleaned up, then making that account a Global Admin account via the Admin Console we found worked.

It's not elegant for sure, but it worked for us.

The new account have the same problem, no rights and no global acl.

same problem from the Admin Console whit another admin account.

Haven't seen that before unfortunately. Any errors in the logs?
