Issues with importing old mails from external accounts

When I download old emails from another account into Zimbra, how do I get Zimbra to show these emails actual date instead of the current time that Zimbra received these emails? Because now, all these old emails are showing as the latest emails in Zimbra.

Also, I like to move all these old emails to another folder according to dates. So I use search by date to filter them. But when I select all, it only select those that are loaded or visible, which is about 100 emails. Even when I shift click and Zimbra claim that it has selected all, including those that are not loaded yet, it still select about 150 emails instead of all, which is about 2000 emails. This means that I have to keep doing this for 20 times! Another funny problem is once I shift-click and drag into a new folder, I am no longer allow to drag more items from the inbox and drop into the same folder again. Is this a known bug?

Anyone has workaround or more productive method?

Some serious issues:

When I make a mistake and decided to cancel downloading of huge emails, how do I stop the download? There is no cancel get email button. The only solution I can think of is to remove the external account. But when I do that, it still continue to download. Worse, it keep downloading over 4000 emails despite that account only have 1000 email. What happen???

I'm having the same issue - where there are 100s of messages in the external POP account, but the date received is when Zimbra received it.

I need to preserve the message's original date - have you found a way?
