Why were you using the '-l' ldap option when you ran zmprov? Could you try using it without that option and post the results?

See this is retarded. hahah I reinstalled again and check this out...

zimbra@chamber:~$ zmprov -l in wiki@defensiblenetworks.com 'B8as2o1+s' /opt/zimbra/wiki/Template Template

zimbra@chamber:~$ zmprov -l in wiki@defensiblenetworks.com B8as2o1+s /opt/zimbra/wiki/Template Template

I changed passwords to something more simple... and the passwords I use in the forums are not the real ones I used... but if the dev people honestly care Ill give them the real ones if they wanted to test, its probably the plus signs, and this doesnt do the same thing... or this isn't a known deal... with valid passwords.. I didnt see it documented anywhere.

zimbra@chamber:~$ zmprov -l in wiki@defensiblenetworks.com seat9248 /opt/zimbra/wiki/Template Template
Initializing folders

Just out of interest, why were you using the '-l' ldap option? I'd file that in bugzilla and let zimbra see if there is really a problem, it doesn't make sense (well, not to me anyway).

Well... I don't know whats up with the soap thing... or how that works with or inplace of ldap but I believe its an either or thing... and zmprov using soap doesnt seem to work for me. If you look at the info for zmprov and such you can specify where your ldap server is if say its not on your local server and you can specify to use ldap with -l.... I'm not sure how it all works either... It is working now and Zimbra is sooooooo much better than Exchange... Exchange takes FOREVER to send messages and it crashes.... I have been on site at tons of different places with Exchange and I have yet to see an Exchange server function as I would like it.. The issues I'm having with zimbra are no dobut due to the fact that im running it chrooted on a amd64 debian system with a grsecurity and pax patched kernel... and I have it bound to a virtual ip address.. If i get the mail queue stuff working I'll be so happy

Do you mean one IP on a multi-IP NIC? I was under the impression that wasn't possible with Zimbra, what did you have to do to get it working?

You just create a virtual interface and assign it an ip like eth1:1 and then you configure tomcat to use the ip assigned to that interface.... there is another post on here about that.

Thanks. That's it - just tomcat to be configured for it? I must have missed the other post - I'll have a look.
