Migration from one production zimbra setup to another production zimbra

Hi guys,

We have two zimbra sertup which contain different domains :

For example :

Server 1 Details :
IP : 1.1.1.1
FQDN : mail.example.com
Domain Configured : abc.com, def.com, ghi.com
Total number of users on this servers : 2600

Server 2 details :
IP :1.2.4.3
FQDN : mail2.example.com
Domain Configured : jkl.com,mno.com,pqr.com,vwx.com
Total number of users on this server : 350

Both zimbra configuration have all zimbra componenets (ldap,mta,store) with single installation.

These both servers are located in different cities. Now management would like to move domain and users of server 2 to server 1.

As per my understanding, this link explaining migration from sever 1 to server 2..but server 2 will be fresh installation...in my case both servers are in production environment and having their own domains and user mailboxes.

And I am using open source edition...

Is it possible to do migration in this senario ?

There are several threads in the forums that cover moving users from one server to another, have you checked those?

Thanks for reply.Ya I saw those threads. But as per my understandng those are migration from ZCS production server to NEWly INSTALLED server.

In my case it will be migration from PROUCTION ZIMBRA SERVER which contain some registered domain to another PRODCUTION ZIMBRA SERVER which contain another bunch of registered domain.

Your best bet is probably to use the getRestURL/postRestURL methods to export from one server to another server.

Thanks Krishopper for your input..I was able to migrate user's mail data from one test server to another...but now facing issue with LDAP..

I searched on forum and found several threads regarding importing and exporting ldap data from one server to another but in all process we have to delete existing ldap data on destination server while importing...and in my setup destination server will have other customer's domains and accounts...

is there any way to use slapadd command by keeping the existing data at destination end ?

It seems that we can use ldapmodify to insert only new changes but i couldnt find out the command under /opt/zimbra/openldap/sbin/ folder...how to proceed....

Please help.
