Zimbra Gradually Slowing Down

It appears that Zimbra is becoming slower and slower to respond and will even time out when trying to login. The login time now is around 3 minutes, it seems to be getting worse.

Any thoughts?

..... and the hardware specifications are? Is it a VM or real hardware and if it's a VM what's is it running on?
