Problems reaching documents from the internet

We have an issue with our Zimbra 5 zcs that users that use the documents facility have there files saved with a link to the internal server name.

This means they can only read their files when they work inside the company

Example for a document name:
https://internalhostname.company.be/...Notebook/Page1

However, when they work outside and connect through mail.company.be, this internalservername cannot be resolved. Should I just change the "Web mail MTA Hostname:" in the admin console from internalhostname.company.be to mail.company.be (which can be resolved from inside and ouside) or is it not that?? Maybe I have to change the entire hostname using this procedure: ZmSetServerName - Zimbra :: Wiki ??
