Default mail-in database feature

Hi Guys,

Do we have mail-in database feature in zimbra which is avalible in lotus notes ?

One of our customer need this feature. I searched on net but couldnt find out any related link.

please help.

Not out of the box. What data is required to be stored in the database ? One way would be to either intercept the inbound email and run a script. A good starting point would be :- Configuring Postfix to work with piped scripts - Zimbra :: Wiki

Thanks Uxbod for reply.

This requirement is to store mails.
Actually this feature is required for ticketing system.
For e.g helpdesk team will use mail-in database where all customers mail will get store and helpdesk will generate the ticket for the issue and automatically notification will get back to customer regarding the ticket.

Our client was using this with lotus and they need same solution in zimbra.
