Default [SOLVED] Same username on multiple domains

I am running Zimbra 6.0.6_GA_2330 on CentOS 5.5.

I apologize if this is somewhere in a FAQ or search. I have looked for about an hour but can't seem to find anything that helps. I'm probably searching for the wrong terms or something. So please be gentle if you tell me to RTFM or hopefully provide some link when you do .

So I have an install with 3 domains. 1 is in production, the other 2 are not yet (though I don't think that is the issue). I have one user that has an account user1@domain1.com, user1@domain2.com. This is fine and the email goes to the right domain. He can log on with the web interface as well with no issues.

But when trying to use Thunderbird 3, if he tries to connect to his mail user1@domain2.com, he gets the mail associated with user1@domain1.com.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be much obliged.

Make sure that his thunderbird login is his complete email address in each instance. See if that helps.

So I think what's going on is, you've created virtual domains and you have DNS set up properly for each FQDN to point to the same server.

Virtual domains work for web login (meaning you don't have to provide full email address on login, just the part before @), but I don't think they work for external clients.

Anyway, you're welcome.

That sounds exactly like what's going on.
