Default [SOLVED] Opensource / Networkmix possible ?

Hello,

is it technically possible to drive a mix of Network and Comunity Editions?
Using same backend Server (like a common Ldap?)

I dont think so but im an Optimist so im asking :-)

This is in the wrong forums so I'll move it. The answer to your question is no, it's not possible. Perhaps if you explained your intended scenario someone may be able to offer advice.

OK, i expected that anyway :-)

The thing is the following: We want to offer Zimbra as a special Service (since Lincense and Hardwarecost are a bit Higher then a normal Linuxbased Mailhost)
and i never expected to even think about offering Zimbra as a Basci Service too..

But since we evaluating we start think harder about that. So the Idea was driving normal Accounts on the Opensource and the rented one on the Networkedition.

So its Obiviouse that here i was thinking about Common Services so we save Resources.. on the other Hand strikt Splittet isnt so bad at all.

Btw.. did i understand the License of the Opensource Version Correct that you can use it as a Commercial Provider Busniness ? (Sorry im not an Native Speaker :-)

Yes that's correct, you can offer a commercial service using the Open Source version.
