Domain Whitelist and Blacklist

Hi Guys,
I have an installation of Zimbra 6.03 on my Centos5 Server.

I want to put in a whitelist/blacklist some domains and I follow this guide:
Improving Anti-spam system - Zimbra :: Wiki

I try to modify the file /opt/zimbra/conf/salocal.cf.in (is a Read only file, but I changed the permissions) adding this lines at the end, just for testing:
blacklist_from *@gmail.com

After I have restarted Zimbra services but I continue to receive mails from gmail.com, so the modification doesn't affect the system.

I know that is possible to define whitelist/blacklist for single users from webmail options.
Is possible to set a whitelist/blacklist for all the accounts as a global setting?

Theer are two sections in that wiki article that cover whitelisting, which one did you follow and what are the exact changes you made to your system (post the details).

? That points to creating whitelists for RBL. The inquiry is about whitelisting/blacklisting based on sender domain, presumably to get around SA checks (i.e., after the MTA).

I'm not sure if the recommendation to use blacklist_from in salocal.cf.in is out of date, but with 5.x, I modified amavis's config instead of SA's when I was asked to create a sender-based blacklist. See Improving antispam
