Exclamation [SOLVED] Sharing Mail Server Problem

I am having an issue with my mail server. I have 2 domains (r3dsystems.co.uk & r3cognition.co.uk) directing mail to the same mail server.

The problem is that some mail for r3cognition.co.uk cannot be delivered to the users on the mail server.

One contact has given us this output from a test he performed on our mail server. At a guess it means that the R3D Systems domain is taking presidents over the r3cognition domain but i do not know how to fix it. If possible i would like to switch the domains so r3cognition is the primary.

Telnet Response to port 25:
220 mail2.r3dsystems.co.uk ESMTP Postfix

If more information is needed let me know....

Look in the log files and see what the reason is for non-delivery.

That response is perfectly normal and is the FQDN of the server, the problem lies elsewhere (see comment above). It makes no difference how many domains are hosted on your server, if there's valid A & MX records for those domains and they exist on the server then mail will get delivered.

You've actually not given much of a description of the problem itself, tell us exactly what's happening and details from the log files (see above).

after looking at the log file it seems the contact who was trying to send us mail does not have reverse DNS setup so out mail system is dropping it.

I have put it to them to fix.
