Default [SOLVED] YASP : Yet Another Stats Problem

Hi,

When opening server stats on Zimbra admin web console, i get the following error :

Code:
Mail : system failure: Unable to read logger stats Code d'erreur : service.FAILURE Method: GetLoggerStatsRequest Détails :soap:Receiver
Moreover, server status show expired infos.

I'm using syslog-ng. I changed syslog-ng.conf to use debian default source (s_all) instead of zimbra one (zimbra_src).
This didn't help. I red thousand forum threads talking about similar problem, unfortunately no one helped.

Following this wiki page Logger (ZCS 6.0.x and later) - Zimbra :: Wiki, here are my server outputs :

Code:
zimbra@master:~$ zmcontrol -v
Release 6.0.6_GA_2324.DEBIAN5 DEBIAN5 FOSS edition.
Code:
zimbra@master:~$ /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmrrdfetch -f zmmtastats|wc -l
2885
Code:
zimbra@master:~$ /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmrrdfetch -c -f zmmtastats|wc -l
293
Code:
zimbra@master:~$ grep -w MTA /var/log/zimbra-stats.log|wc -l
0
Code:
zimbra@master:~$ tail /var/log/zimbra-stats.log|wc -l
0
Code:
zimbra@master:~$ zmsoap -z GetLoggerStatsRequest stats/@name=zmmtastats | head -20
ERROR: service.FAILURE (system failure: Unable to read logger stats)
Code:
zimbra@master:~$ zmsoap -z GetLoggerStatsRequest stats/@name=zmmtastats @limit=1 | head -50
ERROR: service.FAILURE (system failure: Unable to read logger stats)

When i do a "zmcontrol stop", zmstats stops and then zmcontrol returns.
Can't figure out why.

Code:
zimbra@master:~$ zmcontrol stop
Host master.phpmodels.com
	Stopping stats...Terminated
zimbra@master:~$ zmcontrol status
Host master.phpmodels.com
	antispam Running
	antivirus Running
	ldap Running
	logger Running
	mailbox Running
	mta Running
	snmp Running
	spell Running
	stats Running
zimbra@master:~$
Any help would be really appreciated.

Eric

Don't know if it has any relevance, but check if this helps:
sadc not enabled in /etc/default/sysstat

ekkas, thank you for your answer, but i can't restart zimbra.
I tried to force sadc to TRUE and restart zmlogger and zmstat, but that's what i get.

Code:
zimbra@master:~$ zmstatctl status
Argument "-M-^WM-^YM-FM-mM-\f" isn't numeric in kill at /opt/zimbra/bin/zmstatctl line 181.
Running: zmstat-cpu
Argument "x\0\0\0M-^T^Z" isn't numeric in kill at /opt/zimbra/bin/zmstatctl line 181.
Running: zmstat-proc
Argument "M-$M-$M-d(M-^Y2" isn't numeric in kill at /opt/zimbra/bin/zmstatctl line 181.
Running: zmstat-fd
Argument "M-)"M-9;M-^_j" isn't numeric in kill at /opt/zimbra/bin/zmstatctl line 181.
Running: zmstat-io
Argument "M-.Tw5M-%M-n" isn't numeric in kill at /opt/zimbra/bin/zmstatctl line 181.
Running: zmstat-vm
Argument "M-^YM-]M-3\\M-^S&" isn't numeric in kill at /opt/zimbra/bin/zmstatctl line 181.
Running: zmstat-io-x
Running: zmstat-allprocs
Argument "RM-Q^M-^IM-g^W" isn't numeric in kill at /opt/zimbra/bin/zmstatctl line 181.
Running: zmstat-mtaqueue
Argument "M-^EM-^^GfrM-@" isn't numeric in kill at /opt/zimbra/bin/zmstatctl line 181.
Running: zmstat-df
Argument "M-9M-\\bimM-c" isn't numeric in kill at /opt/zimbra/bin/zmstatctl line 181.
Running: zmstat-mysql
I don't understand what's happening here.

I tried to look in perl scripts, but i'm not familiar with Zimbra APIs, and the only thing i understand is that the script try to execute kill on an array of pids, but it get some "random data" instead of numerical values.

Problem solved.

Code:
zimbra@master:~$ rm /opt/zimbra/zmstat/pid/zmstat-*.pid
I restarted zmlogger, zmstatctl and syslog-ng.
Now everything works fine.

Regards
