| | | [SOLVED] imap pop external accouts We are testing Zimbra 6.0.6 Community Edition with Ubuntu Server 8.0.4 x64
We would like to add for each user external imap accounts in order to retreive our mails via imap and move to the zcs mailsystem, but this option is not at the http menues.
The default CoS have the feature enabled.

| | This isn't a Zimbra Desktop question, I'll move it to the correct forum.
The feature for adding external accounts is in each users Preferences, you can add it via the command line via a script - I believe there's several threads in the forums if you'd care to search.

| | | Thanks Bill.
Thanks for the clarification.
Forgive my small knowledge in Zimbra. So then community edition has not this feature on web interface ?.
I think I have seen prior to install ZCS (please see attached pdf).
Maybe only for Network Edition ?

I think I may have confused you with my last post, I meant to say 'you can also add it via the command line'. Sorry if that previous post was confusing.

| | | Hi Bill,
Thanks for your reply.
What I meant is that if this feature should be available in OpenSource Edition, in our installation this option does not appear at the preferences.
Any help in how to check & solve this?
We were able to retrieve mails using imapsync, but have wrong format in sender and recipient addresses. The non ZCS server is GroupWise 8.0 Linux version mounted on NOWS 10.
I think is a GroupWise IMAP format related problem.

| | The External Accounts is a standard feature in both versions of Zimbra, can you post a screen shot of the Preferences page where the button should be? What browser are you using and have you cleared the cache?

| | | Hi Bill:
Thanks for your quick response.
I tried with Firefox 3.6.3 (Mac OSX 10.6.3), Safari Versión 4.0.5 in my laptop.
We tried also Firefox in Linux and IE in Windows and Firefox.
As you can see in the captured screens (sorry they are in spanish, but the system did not switched to english also) there is no option to configure.
We have checked CoS (also in the captured screens) has this feature enable: Where says "Acceso externo IMAP" ->english-> "IMAP External Access" is checked, so I do not know what I am doing wrong.
Thanks for the help. |

| | You're not looking at the correct section, go to the Preferences/Mail/Accounts and it's listed there.

| | | Hi Bill:
Thank you very much. I was looking at the wrong menu as you said
Now tested with imap arrakis account and working fine ... let us see what's up with GroupWise.
