    Hi,

    I'm getting a fair few complaints from users that when they click on TO in new message, all that comes up are blank boxes.

    They're expecting a full list of contacts which could then be filtered to a more precise view using search.

    I can do the search on . thing (which is weird but ok :/ ) on the GAL and see all the contacts but searching on . in contacts results in a blank box?

    Is something wrong or is this the expected behaviour? and if the latter ARGH! is there a workaround for users to see a full list of their contacts in the to box?

    Operating system and release of Zimbra? What happens if they start typng in the 'To' box, does it show a list of contacts?

    yes, if they start typing a into the to box for example, it will list contacts beginning with a.. but they're expecting, and I can't say I blame them, a way to see the whole list of contacts and that's what I can't seem to get?

    Searching for . in the GAL, whilst not ideal, does seem to display the whole list of GAL entries... but doesn't seem to work in contacts? Is this by design? is it a bug? or is something wrong?

    In 4.0 RC1 we have GAL autocomplete. So you'll get a list of all contacts local and GAL when you start to type. There is an open bug on the TO: search box to include a list when you open it. You can vote for it here:

    Thanks Kevin...

    We lost the customer to an exchange mailbox.. they truly preferred zimbra but the contacts issue + some other problems such as double clicking to make a new appointment made the cursor disappear in firefox etc was too much for them.

    I'll vote for the bug!
