A network service error has occurred (zclient/io)

When i try to login to the 'basic client" i got error "A network service error has occurred (zclient/io)". It is not a pop-up. It displays directly above the username and password, the same type of notice you get when you use an incorrect username or password. I have tried it on various web browser. Also restarted the server but still getting the same error message. I am having "Release 4.5.9_GA_1454.RHEL4_20071016192012 RHEL4 FOSS edition".
