Active Directory expired password preventing email delivery

Using Zimbra 3.1 on Suse using AD on windows 2000. I have an account whos password will expire in x number of days. You can either change your password now or wait until x number of days are up. During the x number of days email is not delivered to the mailbox and when sending email using the web gui an java mail exception is thrown. Any way to allow email to be delivered during the grace login period?

I don't think we have something like this today. Is this a feature request? If so it should go into bugzilla.
