Default Please, help me. I'm doing on Disaster Recovery

    Hello,

    I'm working on Disater Recovery.

I posted on this forum for some questions.

According to the network edition disaster recovery,

    zmrestoreldap was executed and recovered.

But our zimbra don't use ldap directory, so even didn't back up in the incremetal backup.

    ex) zmrestoreldap -t /opt/<old-zimbra-dir>/backup/ -lbs

So, now I wonder if I can skip this procedure for restoring ldap and

    run zmrestoreoffline for recovery?

ex) zmrestoreoffline -sys -a all -c -rf -lb <full backup session label>

    Please, help me.

    Thanks.

Seacrhing for recovery, all recovery has proceed after ldap recovery.

Now, I have backup including ldap is incr-20090228.

Could I remake the ldap information from other backup file?

I installed zcs, again and use restore wizard in GUI.

but It until restoring 24 accounts and shows error, empty response.

After installed zcs, without any accounts I did backup but ldap.bak did not created.

Do anyone know what it happened?

I was supposed to create ldap.bak and modify the ldap.bak's zimbraId as session.xml.

Could you tell me how to creat ldap.bak ?

And without ldap.bak, CLI Command ' zmrestore -a all -s name.domain.com' can be working?

    please, tell me anyone.

I am staying all nights for two days...help me.

I have a question about following restore procedures.

in a., what means that delete the mailbox on the server.

Could you tell more specifically about step a.?

    2. Iterates through each mailbox:

    a. Deletes the mailbox on the server

    b. Restores the last full backup of the MySQL entries, the index directory, and the message directory for that mailbox

    c. Restores all incremental backups for that mailbox in order, since last full backup. This includes replaying the redo logs from the backup target area

    d. Replays all archived redo logs for that mailbox, from the redo log archive area on the mailbox server

    e. Replays the current redo log

Well, as far as I understand it, the old version of the mailbox (if any) is removed. Then the mailbox is created fresh from the backups.
