Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it greatly.

I have been watching the amavisd tmp directory located in /opt/zimbra/data/amavisd/tmp. However, I have yet to see it go above 3MB. I have a script checking it every 15 seconds.

How much RAM disk do I need to devote to this directory?

I am thinking it does not need to be much. Should it be sized by the maximum file attachment size? Does that matter?

Thanks!

The formula for calculating the approximate maximum needed size of an Amavis temp directory RAM disk is here at Ralf Hildebrant's Postfix Shrine web site.

Hope that helps,
Mark

Thanks for the advice. I will do this. Everyone's advice and support has been great! Wish you guys all the best!

BTW - Mark: Portland ME is a great town. Was stationed there 1987-8 while ship was in BIW shipyard. Three Dollar Deweys was our bar - picnic tables, chili and beer - couldn't beat it! Still go nearly every year to OOB.

$3 Dewey's is still there, with the same great burgers and beers!

Next time you are up this way give a holler; always looking for an excuse to go to $3 Dewey's!

All the best,
Mark

P.S.
