Default Fake domain for internal use and IM

Hi, we have a small setup running the latest version 6.0.6.

We setup a 'fake' domain ('fakedomain.int') only for internal use: we don't want the users on that domain to be able to send emails outside of the zimbra-defined servers.

I set it up on our local DNS server, and everything works fine: I can email the internal zimbra-defined domains, but not any external address (for example, gmail, yahoo etc).

So far so good.

Our problem is that we can't get the users of the new fake domain to use the messenger...

- A user of the fake domain can't add any users to the buddy list
- A user of the fake domain can, however, send messages to users of real zimbra-defined domains
- A user of a 'real' domain can add 'fake' users to the buddy list, but they are always grayed out
- A user of a 'real' domain can't send messages to a 'fake' user, getting this error:
Code:
The remote server could not be found.
ERROR: <message to="realuser@realdomain.com/zcs" from="fakeuser@fakedomain.int" type="error"><thread>chat-fakeuser%fakedomain.int-1</thread><error code="404" type="cancel"><remote-server-not-found xmlns="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:xmpp-stanzas"/></error></message>
Any ideas?
