Default Recipient display in "sent" folder guessing names

When selecting the sent folder, the recipient names are displayed shortened when not available in the users's address book, looks like in most cases the name is cut off at the first punctuation sign in the email address or the "@" sign, so abby.gale would be displayed as Abby.

However, we have a user that has reported strange behaviour with this where suddenly, a user a mail was sent to that exists in the address book would display as (quotation marks are part of the displayed text) \"Somecompany Ltd\", without even part of the username in it and escaped quotation marks.

Is there an option to simply display the full email address and the exact name of the user if available in the address book?

(Have to add that that i was unable to reproduce the latter behaviour)
