Default Incorrectly defaulting to HTML interface in Safari 4.0

I recently upgraded my Zimbra deployment from 5.0.7 to 5.0.23, since then users logging into their inboxes via Safari have been forced into the Standard (HTML) interface for no apparent reason.

The COS is set so that the Default version is Advanced, however through Safari (not Firefox or Chrome) Default logs you into the Standard (HTML) version instead.

This is easy to work-around: setting the drop-box to Advanced (AJAX) works appropriately as does using the ?client=advanced login page modifier.

Does anyone have any more information on this bug?

Bump...

Surely somebody else has encountered this?

We also ran into this after upgrading to 5.0.23. We have a ticket open with zimbra but are still waiting on a resolution.

Thanks,

The issue isn't with the admin console, just the webmail Inboxes.

I haven't tested this again since Safari 5 was released. I'll report back.

Bug 37596, which also affects Safari users will be addressed in 5.0.24. "Can't reply to HTML messages in Safari" The problem listed above will be address in 5.0.24 also.
