Default [SOLVED] I'm stumped

Due to 'circumstances beyond my control' I had to rebuild my system. Prior to this my system was up for almost 3 years. I'm currently up and running again on RHEL5 (current release). Nothing has changed at my users locations but I'm having a strange issue at one location only (so far).

At this location they are on a wireless ISP with 2 different computers in the office set up for internet access. Both are XP machines and have Firefox along with IE. The "main" computer does run some applications as a server that use tcp/IP. The "second" computer is a stand alone almost exclusively used for internet access and access to documents on the main computer.

So much for the background.

The COS is set for all users to log in using the Advanced Version. The "main" computer will not log in this way and is automatically switching to the Standard Version. The "second" computer has no such issue and will allow log ins to the Advanced Version.

Any ideas out there in Zimbra land... Thanks in advance!

Hi Michael,

The "main" computer that's defaulting to the standard version...
- What browser(s) and version(s) are having this issue?
- What is the screen resolution of this system?

Good Day chauvetp,

The "main" has IE 6 and FF 3.5 but I think you hit on it with screen res. The "main" is running 800x600 but the "second" is 1280x800. I 'watched' it do this in both browsers.

It held for one log in on a remote using my account and FF on the Advanced after logging out, clearing the cache and closing the browser. But when we tried using IE, it launched in Standard again.

Hi Michael,

Unless they changed this in the 6.x series, Zimbra requires at least 1024x768 by default to allow the advanced version. It will not let you go into advanced with 800x600 without a zmprov command:

zmprov ma user@domain.com zimbraPrefAdvancedClientEnforceMinDisplay FALSE

There is probably a way to set this for an entire COS but we only had to do it for two people with eyesight issues who didn't want a higher resolution than 800x600
