Email transfer from Zimbra 5.0 to 6.0

Hi All,

I have a problem may be someone can help.
I have a work server with Zimbra (Release 5.0.11_GA_2695.SLES10_64_20081117131141 SLES10_64 FOSS edition) and have a backup server Release 6.0.5_GA_2213.DEBIAN5 DEBIAN5 FOSS edition.
I would like to make a mail syncronisation between the two system. Is it possible ? (I am planning to sync only the messages not necessary to backup the users account details .. )
Can somebody help me How can I do this ?

Welcome to the forums

If you wish only to sync the messages then you could transfer all the .msg files from below /opt/zimbra/store/0. They could be injected back into the system using zmlmtpinject.

you can also use imapsync tool..

Zimbra 6 has a script (might be still beta) but I've been using it with great success to copy mailboxes from a ZCS5 to ZCS6 server.

zmztozmig:

Config File: /opt/zimbra/conf/zmztozmig.conf
Script: /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmztozmig

Just just need to config admin accounts of both servers and give a list of accounts to copy.
