address book over LDAP in OutLook or ThunderBird

I tried to make address book over ldap from outlook and thunderbird using man from zimbra wiki Mail Client LDAP Configuration - Zimbra :: Wiki
but there are no results, user list is empty.
I'v tried to use Base DN with my domain name, leave it blank and even exactly "ou=people,dc=mydomain,dc=com", result are equal (nothing in address book).
I have no more ideas what to do. if it is useful i'm using open source edition

I have this setup in SeaMonkey, base dn is left blank, the bind dn includes my support account for the name

Bind DN: uid=support,ou=people,dc=domain,dc=com

You will actually have to give ldap something to query against. Once I start typing, I get something listed.
