Default New zimbra error: no valid authtoken present Error code: service.AUTH_REQUIRED

We have a new error that pops up when logging in to the admin console on our Zimbra 5 installation:

Message: no valid authtoken present Error code: service.AUTH_REQUIRED
Method: GetServiceStatusRequest Details:soap:Sender

I am sure it has something to do with our attempts at trying to integrate ZAD into the works, but we gave up for now on that and are getting the above error.

Any ideas?

The server still seems to be running OK, but we are concerned about the dialog.

Please update your forum profile with the output of the following command (do not post the output in this thread):

Code:
zmcontrol -v
Is this from a vanilla install of Zimbra or have you made some code changes or additions? You could check some of the threads here.

Default It should be a plain vanilla install

I updated my profile with the zimbra version information, thank you.

The install is pretty basic, we haven't made any code changes or additions. I'll look over the various threads here and see if there is anything that points us in the right direction.

One thing to note, I can repeat the error by clicking on "Server Status" and the error pops up. Also, the status screen does NOT show any information, the error pops up first. I just noticed that. Other links seem to work.

Thanks,

Dennis

Is everything set-up correctly hosts file & DNS? Are you behind a NAT router (or firewall) and do you have a Split DNS set-up? Run the following commands on the zimbra server and post the output here:

Code:
cat /etc/hosts
cat /etc/resolv.conf
dig yourdomain.com mx
dig yourdomain.com any
host `hostname` <- use that exact command with backticks not single quotes
[edit]Has this problem just started happening or have you had it for a while?

Default Yes DNS is fine

Well DNS and the setup is fine. It's been a running installation for a year or more, and it's still working. It's just the ZAD integration that's causing the problem. We are trying to get ZAD running on another box, and have tried to connect the boxes together using LDAP, and that seems to fail miserably.

We have shut down the ZAD box, and disconnected any remnants of the other server in our main Zimbra server. I'll get the responses posted about the DNS questions, but I am pretty sure it's not DNS.
