Default Zimbra downgrade

Please dont tell me I can not downgrade.

Let me explain, if I make a full backup copy of /opt/zimbra before doing an ungrade.

Then I want to backout of a bad upgrade

Then I would like to be able to delete the upgraded data

Copy my backup to /opt/Zimbra

Then reinstall the old version

I have just done that and somehow it still thinks the later version is in place how is that, as I have removed the upgraded folder.

You're not wrong and the original thread was posted in the Zimbra Desktop forum. I've moved it.

To answer the original question, you should not downgrade ZCS either. The correct method would be to take a backup before the upgrade and if that has problems, remove the upgrade with './install.sh -u' the re-install the same version of Zimbra that was installed before the upgrade then restore your data to that. This has already been covered in the forums.

That is what I needed './install.sh -u' Thanks

This way I can run the old system whilst I try and fix the upgrade issue on a spare machine.
