Doing backups via NetVault's BakBone software (weekly and daily incrementals). Backups are done to tape and the weekly backups are taken off site.

We're looking to do disk-to-disk backup with deduplication of some sort by the end of the year though.

Default backuppc

I run backup pc on another system, it takes nightly backup and incrementals. It is web based and allows easy file recovery. It also was easy to setup.

Disk to disk to tape using retrospect. With the right settings it preserves hard links, so it works well with Zimbra backups created with --noZip.

You may also have a look at Arkeia (Network Backup | Arkeia). Depending on your needs, you can actually get Arkeia for FREE.

SageMajor; Could you give me some details on your backuppc setup?

I have about 40Gb of user data/email to backup and was looking at backuppc but I'm not sure how well it will work.. Do I need to zmcontrol stop to backup the data?

I don't do live backups, I only backup the backup directory. So in the event of a system crash we would lose at max 1 days data. The zimbra system also has mirrored drives so I don't really need to wory about that happening.

Backup PC is a server based system that uses RCP to copy data.
