Default IM bar at the bottom of the screen, can it be turned off?

Hey Everyone,

I've been asked by a few users if it's possible to turn off the IM bar at the bottom of the Zimbra interface (6.0.5_GA_2213.DEBIAN4.0.FOSS). Personally, I don't think it's a big deal but these users have claimed it "gets in their way."

I've poked around the user preferences, but I can't seem to find anything about it.

Is this possible?

Thanks!

Are you using the Zimbra IM feature? If not, the feature can be turned off globally or on a user-by-user basis. The IM bar will not show if the feature is turned off.

Users have a choice on whether or not they use it. Some users (like myself) do use it, so I can't turn it off globally.
