It is random for me, it can run for a month and then suddenly stop one day. I don't mind the logs until I need it for troubleshooting, but I'll see if mine get flooded as well, thanks for the heads up.

Two months later and the permissions did indeed revert back. Has anyone found a permanent solution to this?

You should upgrade to 6.0.7 p1.

I have been having a problem with my mail server.

When I start the server it runs just fine for about 4 mins and people are able to log on and view there mail.
Then it slows down for about 2 mins and then comes to a stop. I am getting a message that says

sadc not enabled in /etc/default/sysstat, not starting

Could this be part of the problem?

    And is there a fix?

Noting new has happened with the server over the past week other than adding about 20 new email under a new domain.

I'm also seeing this message during boot (Ubuntu Server 8.04.4 & NE 6.0.9):

"sadc not enabled in /etc/default/sysstat, not starting"

What action if any should I take?

    Thanks

Logger is an age old problem in ZIMBRA i guess,

I just had a fresh installation of ZIMBRA on Lenny,

My Logger stopped running and zmlogswatchctl is not running.

I tried looking for logs but don't know where to find it.

"sadc not enabled in /etc/default/sysstat, not starting "

is the message i get when restarting my server.

I am assuming the problem is with the mysql logger database being corrupted.

I'm not sure enough about it though.

Hope someone helps us out of it.

    Code:
sadc not enabled in /etc/default/sysstat, not starting
I get that even before zimbra start up as well, so I don't think it is a Zimbra issue. Check the mysql log under /opt/zimbra/log/mysql_error.log to see if you have a DB problem and if you do, you can repair it by following:
Mysql Crash Recovery - Zimbra :: Wiki
    Hope that helps.
