I wish it were that simple. Right now I'm only testing with two computers. One is running WinXP the other OS X and Linux. Both computers are set to Atlantic Time (GMT-3 with daylight savings). I've also tried various browsers (Firefox, IE 6, Safari). I also checked my router. It too is set to Atlantic Time. I changed it to GMT to see if it made any difference, and it did not.

Can you get a network trace of the traffic to/from the browser to verify the headers?

Not quite sure what you're asking? Do you mean something like run ethereal and capture the packets?

Community Edition 3.2 beta 2. Prior to that I was running C.E. 3.1. It had the same problem with the calendar and stats not updating that I'm having in 3.2B2.

where KevinH concluded it was probably a problem with the "compare rules" in the Javascript code which tries to determine the TZ of the user's browser.
I haven't had a chance to do any further testing for the client who had the problem - they were running Version 3.1.1_GA_394.RHEL4 May 5, 2006.
I shall be upgrading them shortly to a later 3.1 version and shall report if the problem persists - it was a weird one!

Yeah, the problem is it doesn't matter what computer I use, what browser I use, or what OS. GMT -8 is always returned. Using $set:debug shows that too. I think it is some kind of server problem.

Has there been any resolution to this? I'm running 4.0.1 and have the same issues.
