Default Zimbra suddenly stopped working

Hello,

I've made an installation of the latest open source release a few days ago and everything was working fine until this morning.
Zimbra cannot be started at all and have no clue about this.
I'm not using ldap services but from what I've read openldap needs to be installed to work properly.

A few error outputs:

[zimbra@zimbra1 ~]$ zmcontrol status
Unable to determine enabled services from ldap.
Unable to determine enabled services. Cache is out of date or doesn't exist.

[zimbra@zimbra1 ~]$ zmcontrol -v

Release 6.0.5_GA_2213.RHEL5_64_20100203001950 CentOS5_64 FOSS edition.

I tried to run: /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmsetup.pl as someone suggested but again no luck with errors about starting ldap.

Any help is much appreciated.

The first thing to check would be your log files.

What happens if you try to stop, then start Zimbra?

Have you disabled IPTables and SELinux ? Please also post the following
Code:
cat /etc/hosts
cat /etc/resolv.conf
dig yourdomain mx
dig yourdomain any
host `hostname` <- note backticks and not single quotes
