[SOLVED] Cannot get GAL to work

Recently installed latest Zimbra on CentOS5, but I cannoy get the GAL to work. I checked 'GAL configuration' in the admin console and galsync@mydomain.co.za is in there and it exists.

running:
[zimbra@mail root]$ ldapsearch -x ldap://mail.mydomain.co.za/ -b dc=mydomain,dc=co,dc=za -x -d-1

After reading many posts & wikis, I still do not know where to look.
running:

[zimbra@mail root]$ ldap status
slapd running pid: 2663

So I suppose slapd is running.


Any suggestions what I could check for?
